Amanda Lillet, is the owner of Red Lips Sink Ships, a sailboat charter company based on Lake Union. Boats–and getting people on them–are her things. Amanda hopes to meet great people who are living their passion and are as excited to talk about theirs as she is to tell them about hers.

What’s your dream job? I’m doing it; I’m a sailboat captain. All I want is to do more of what I’m currently doing.
What’s your biggest f*ck up on the job / in business? I cared too much about what other people thought of me.
What’s your favorite thing about Seattle? Our summers are so ideal here! But our other seasons aren’t too bad either. We get to sail year-round in this city and that’s really awesome.
What’s the most daring thing you’ve ever done? I bought my first sailboat and lived on it even though I’d only been sailing once in my life before that. I had no idea what I was doing, no idea at all. That was 14 years ago and it’s worked out really well!
What’s one (or two) things people would say you do really well? Meeting goals and swearing.
What do you need help with most? I’m looking for more female boat captains. Male captains are good, too, but I really want to offer jobs to cheerful, energetic, dynamic, skilled women in the maritime industry.
