Seattle loves food and drink! And before Pride month comes to a close we wanted to highlight some of the best local LGBTQ owned bars and restaurants. In my opinion, there’s really nothing better than supporting our community.
We reached out to Intentionalist – an online guide to intentional spending that supports small businesses and diverse local communities, to help compile the perfect list of bars and restaurants!

Cafe Flora | Madison Valley
Seattle’s premier vegetarian restaurant, Café Flora introduces superb non-meat dishes from culinary traditions around the globe utilizing local, organic and sustainable produce. The restaurant features an atrium, a charming garden retreat bathed in natural light, boasting exotic greenery, a bubbling central fountain and natural stone accents just off the main dining room.
Stoup Brewing | Ballard
Stoup Brewing is a beer-geek collaboration between married hopeless drink and chow hounds Brad Benson and Lara Zahaba, and biology teacher-turned brewer Robyn Schumacher. Their delicious brews combine their exacting love of science with their love of beer and the community it fosters.
Super Six | Columbia City
Roz Edison and Kamala Saxton’s sixth addition to the Marination restaurant family, Super Six, is located in a former auto body shop with a cocktail bar and beer garden. The menu focuses on Asian flavors complementing American comfort food and Pacific Northwest staples.
Taqueria Cantina | Belltown
It was Daniel Ceballos’ childhood dream to open a restaurant, and after many years of hard work, he achieved it with the help of his business partners Brian Brandell and Sal Munoz. At Taqueria Cantina, the trio serves authentic Mexican fare that brings the taste, the culture and authenticity of flavors from Mexico to Seattle. And they serve many different styles of margaritas to boot!
Terra Plata | Capitol Hill
Terra Plata owners chef Tamara Murphy and Linda Di Lello Morton are passionate about “earth to plate” dining and are inspired by seasonal, locally produced food. Weather permitting, patrons can enjoy beautiful rooftop dining, surrounded by an edible garden.
The Lumber Yard | White Center
Known as entertainers by their friends, Michale Farrar and Nathan Adams, opened The Lumber Yard to create an all-inclusive space where people can socialize, relax, and laugh while enjoying smoked meats and craft cocktails with a Southern Tea influence. In addition to the main floor they boast an elevated deck area, lower patio and a downstairs where you can get away from the crowd and have a quiet conversation while enjoying a bite to eat.
Tin Table | Yesler
Hallie Kuperman’s restaurant and bar, the Tin Table is housed in the renovated Oddfellow’s Building on the 2nd floor across the hall from Century Ballroom. They aim to create beauty in their food and drink, serving Northwestern cuisine amidst modern décor and a welcoming atmosphere.

James Beard Award-winning chef and owner Maria Hines opened Tilth in 2006 as a ground-breaking, certified organic local restaurant. Farm to table before “Farm to Table”, Tilth celebrates the farmers and foragers who make its seasonal, organic New American menu a delicious testament to food sustainability.
